In Memoriam for Gail Zavada (1952 -2010)

Gail Zavada, 58,
originally from Kearny, NJ passed away on Oct 26 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern
, NY. Gail suffered from a crippling lung disease that affected her mostly in the last 3 years of her life. Despite Gail’s health problems she made extraordinary efforts to show up at events and programs as a volunteer for the Bergen Museum of Art & Science.  Gail worked her heart out to bring back art lessons for kids at Summer Teen Art Camp and worked with children at several annual Music and Art Festivals run by the Bergen Museum. Gail contributed in a way that few others did. She rolled up her sleeves and did whatever was necessary to make a program or a project work. Gail brought hugh happy smiles to thousands of children’s faces in the years that she volunteered at the Museum. She had a big heart and will be greatly missed. A loving wife and mother, Gail leaves behind her husband of 19 years, Dr. James Waldron, her daughter Theda Sudziarski, her son David Diamond and 4 grandchildren.

 RIP my love... Dr. J
